Almost 20 years ago, two brothers along with a bunch of support from their dad and aunt started what has become the number one spirit in their island home nation of Seychelles
Continuing to proudly pot distill with locally harvested freshly pressed cane and now producing our own molasses column rum plus a cask ageing program firmly underway, we are all set to expand our international footprint.

The Seychelles Series is where it all begins.
Distilled from molasses in our continuous column still, and diluted with natural spring water from our own source up in the fertile green hills of Seychelles National Park, these rums are a true expression of our tropical island paradise.

Our St André Series is a collection of four rums that really show what we are about as rum makers.
They have been crafted to showcase our rich heritage and Creole traditions while at the same time pushing the boundaries of conventional rum making.

THE DISTILLERY
LA PLAINE - ST ANDRÉ
La Plaine St André is more than a distillery.
It has been a part of the Takamaka story for over a decade, but its history dates back to the time of the first settlers in Seychelles.
Built by the Jorre de St. Jorre family in 1792, La Plaine St André was a plantation estate set amongst exotic gardens.
Named after Jean-Francois Jorre de St. Jorre's birth town in Réunion, La Plaine St André covered over 60 acres of land at its peak and played a big role in the agricultural economy of the Seychelles in the 1900s, growing cinnamon, vanilla, coconut and patchouli.
