The Hearach es el primer histórico Single Malt Whisky de la destilería isleña y de la Isla de Harris.

 

Al igual que la icónico tejido Tweed de  Harris  creado en la isla por generaciones, este primer histórico whisky está elaborado artesanalmente por habitantes de la Isla de Harris, íntimamente entrelazados para producir un whisky elegante, complejo y con carácter.

 

Esta conexión especial entre las personas y el lugar continúa hasta el día de hoy en cada gota de The Hearach elaborada localmente en Isla de Harris ( Escocia).

 

Nuestra receta utiliza whisky madurado en barricas de ex-Bourbon, Oloroso y Fino.

“ I get a gentle peat smoke on the first sip which reminds me of island home fires burning when I was growing up. It comes along with a toasted maltiness. I can also taste homemade apple sauce and smell machair flowers, particularly white clover which springs up on our west coast every summer. Mixed spices appear, and an old-fashioned sweetness from things like candied ginger, vanilla, and honeycomb. Finally, there’s a long, clotted-cream note, mixed with a lasting sense of new leather. ”

“I can’t tell you how impressed I am...the flavour profile is truly unique. I have never tasted a whisky like it, and have rarely been so impressed by a first release.

It really does seem to embody the island of its birth. Sea- spray, kelp and smouldering peat smoke; elemental but also gentle.

Soft vanilla fudge, faintly floral and with a texture as soft as a Gaelic song - very more-ish!”
